Penny's Hill produced its first wines from the 1995 vintage. The Penny's Hill range is made by winemaker Ben Riggs, who uses only estate-grown fruit from the company's McLaren Vale vineyards: Penny's Hill, Goss Corner and Malpas Road. Tony Parkinson, the force behind Penny's Hill, demands excellence. In addition to hiring Ben Riggs, he has also employed David Paxton as his viticulturalist resulting in a team that includes two of the most talented men in their respective fields. The Winery's distinctive "red dot" pack•AGING stems for Tony Parkinston's love of art, which is expressed through the Red Dot Gallery at the estate.
